Who we work with here

Waukesha County and greater Milwaukee, with a practice weighted toward closely held business owners rather than volume return preparation.

  • Owners of S corporations and partnerships across Brookfield, Elm Grove, New Berlin, Menomonee Falls, Waukesha and Pewaukee
  • Professional practices, contractors, and family businesses that need the same CPA every year rather than whoever is available
  • Individuals and families with investment income, rental property, equity compensation, or a business interest reported on a K-1
  • Trusts and estates, including the year a family has to file one for the first time
  • Clients across Wisconsin who work with us entirely through the secure portal, by phone and by video

Wisconsin filings we handle

State work is not an afterthought bolted onto a federal return. Wisconsin has its own elections and its own traps.

  • Form 1 and Form 1NPR for residents, part year residents and nonresidents
  • Form 5S for tax option corporations, including the entity level tax election and whether it actually helps your owners
  • Form 3 for partnerships and Form 2 for fiduciaries
  • Forms 4 and 6 for corporations, including combined reporting where it applies
  • Wisconsin withholding, estimated payments, and sales and use tax registration
  • Credit for taxes paid to other states, which matters more than most people expect once income crosses a border

What working with us looks like

One CPA, the same one, year after year. The firm was founded in 1985 and is now in its second generation, which means the person who prepared your return in 2019 can tell you why without opening the file. We work year round rather than seasonally, so planning happens in September when a decision can still change the outcome, not in March when it cannot. Engagements are quoted in writing before work begins. If we are not the right firm for what you need, we will say so on the first call and point you somewhere better.

Common questions

Where exactly is the office?

15520 Grandview Drive, Lower Level, Brookfield, WI 53005, just off Calhoun Road in the Grandview office area. Parking is on site and free. The building has two entrances and the office is the one on the right; the entrance on the left is private. Exterior signage is going up shortly. Until it does, a large spruce screens the building from the road, so watch for the driveway rather than the door.

What are your hours?

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM Central. During filing season we make ourselves available outside those hours when a deadline needs it, by arrangement rather than as a posted schedule. Call (262) 781-0932 or book a consultation online.

Do I have to come in?

No. Most of our Wisconsin clients meet in person once a year and handle everything else through the secure portal, by phone, or by video. Some have never been to the office. Either arrangement works.

Which communities do you serve from Brookfield?

Brookfield, Elm Grove, Wauwatosa, New Berlin, Menomonee Falls, Waukesha, Pewaukee, Delafield, Mequon, and greater Milwaukee, along with clients across Wisconsin who work with us remotely.

What Wisconsin filings do you handle?

Wisconsin Form 1 and Form 1NPR for individuals, Form 5S for tax option corporations, Form 3 for partnerships, Form 4 and 6 for corporations, Form 2 for fiduciaries, and the entity level tax election where it benefits pass through owners. Also Wisconsin withholding, sales and use, and the personal property transition where it still applies.

Are you licensed in Wisconsin?

Yes. Anthony K. Tenaglia is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Wisconsin. License status is verifiable through the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
